Discovery launches documentary series Being Digi-Sapiens, which explores the changing relationship between humans and technology

The first episode of the three-part documentary series “Being Digi-Sapiens” was released today by Warner Bros. Discovery. In it, Swedish inventor, roboticist and YouTuber Simone Giertz travels across Europe to see how technology is changing our daily lives. The series was produced with the support of Huawei and showcases a wide range of digital innovations that go far beyond the brand’s own products.

The first episode, “Connecting with Ourselves,” examines the impact of digital technology on our homes, our health and our hospitals. After starting in a technologically improved fiber-optic home in Bonn that is said to have one of the “fastest internet connections in Germany,” Simone heads to a state-of-the-art sports and health laboratory to learn first-hand how both professional and amateur athletes benefit from state-of-the-art data collection. Finally, Simone visits Barcelona’s historic hospital “de la Santa Creu I Sant Pau” to get a crash course in how to use the latest technologies to help patients more effectively.
