Green Producing Certificate for “Lower Austria Today”

St. Pölten (OTS) Producing in an environmentally friendly manner has also become an important criterion for film and television productions. The ORF Lower Austria has also committed itself to this and has focused “NÖ today” and the weather after the federal state today program entirely on sustainability. For this purpose, the studio lighting was converted to 100% LED lighting, and only ecologically certified products are used in the mask, as well as for cleaning. When traveling to the place of work, there are incentives to switch to public transport, carpooling is created and the majority of company vehicles have already been converted to electric cars.

ORF Lower Austria regional director Alexander Hofer: “We are pleased about the certification of ‘NÖ today’ and the weather. At the state studio, paying attention to sustainability in our daily work starts on a small scale, and this includes our electric bicycles, which are available to employees. But the purchase of electricity from renewable energies also makes the work in the state studio in St. Pölten modern and environmentally friendly.”

“Green Producing in Film and Television” is one of the Austrian environmental labels and stands for environmentally friendly and sustainable production in film and television. The certificate with the certificates for “Lower Austria today” and for the weather was presented to the team by Environment Minister Leonore Gewessler on Friday, July 5th, in the ORF regional studio Lower Austria.
