Season opener with singles from Vienna, Burgenland, Upper Austria and Styria

At the start of the 28th season on Monday, July 8th, Nina Horowitz portrays six new singles on their search for their very own happiness in life. The three women and three men are at home in Vienna, Burgenland, Upper Austria and Styria.

Karl, 68-year-old retired civil servant from Vienna, wants to find new love after 13 years of being single. The passionate hunter’s heart has to share this with the dog Adelheid, whom the native Styrian even carries to the high seat. Would he carry his new lover in his hands or even over the doorstep?

Cecilia, a 61-year-old retired qualified nurse who has an open heart for life’s adventures, also comes from Vienna. The world traveler sometimes dreams of “Rolling Stone” Mick Jagger, but her ideas of a new man at her side should not remain just dreams. In any case, she is ready for a time together full of “satisfaction”.

Benji, 34, a nurse from southern Burgenland, sometimes feels very lonely and wants nothing more than a loving partner. He also has very precise plans for the future: a family and a home together full of love. “I dream of a wife and children, that brings life into the place,” he reveals.

Gerda, 79, a retired office clerk from Upper Austria, has had very difficult times in her life in which her former husband did not treat her the way she deserved. But now she is looking forward to a new phase of life full of joy and togetherness. “I want to have a partner who has time for me and values me,” she says unequivocally.

Joachim, 62 years old, a retired boiler keeper from Upper Austria, is looking for his second half. The Carinthian native wants a “completely natural woman” who will go hiking with him and share his passion for good conversations, but also much more. Joachim would even give his new flame some of his beloved Carinthian Kasnudeln.

Brigitte, a 57-year-old retired seamstress, comes from Styria and melts to the emotional hits of Roy Black. The new man in her life should have time for her because her ex worked too much for her liking and she was often alone. The single lady knows full well that a golden cage doesn’t make you happy.
