Vienna (OTS) – It’s a brutal one War in Sudan. The fighting between the army and the RSF (Rapid Support Force) costs innocent lives and leads the country into chaos. It is becoming increasingly difficult and dangerous to help the suffering population.
Nine million people are on the run. Hundreds of thousands are in neighboring South Sudan fled. They need food, drinking water and medical care. The Salesians of Don Bosco on site help these people in need.
There are more every day. There seems to be no end to the conflict in sight. In the refugee camp in Kuajok, the Salesians help with food, hygiene products and medical assistance. Clean drinking water and sanitary facilities prevent the outbreak of diseases. The people on the run find a safe place to stay. Therapeutic offers help to process the traumas suffered.
