ÖVP Chancellor Nehammer did not stop the green arbitrary minister in the EU renaturation law because black positions are more important to him than his own population
Vienna (OTS) – FPÖ General Secretary NAbg criticized it as a “third-rate smear comedy”. Michael Schnedlitz today the “black-green mock battle” surrounding the green Environment Minister Gewessler’s approval of the EU renaturation law: “The fact is that ÖVP Chancellor Nehammer is the announced betrayal of our farmers and consumers, of our population’s security of supply with local food and of our sovereignty, but rather allowed it to happen with full eyesight. For him and the ÖVP, all that matters is the green ‘yes’ to black positions at the EU Commissioner, the National Bank and being able to sit in the richly endowed government chairs for another three months – that’s why the Nehammer-ÖVP has the Greens in all of Austria Delivered!”
The liberal motion of no confidence against Gewessler at the next National Council meeting will therefore be a litmus test for the ÖVP. “Then the whole of Austria will witness how the ÖVP-Bauernbund MPs, as well as the Stockers and Co. of the arbitrary green minister, will build the wall again. Credibility and decency are absolute foreign concepts for the ÖVP,” said Schnedlitz, who emphasized: “On September 29th, the population, side by side with the FPÖ, will pull the plug on this system that is only driven by its own interests and the Set the course for a liberal federal government with a People’s Chancellor Herbert Kickl!”
