#dif24: Cheers to the festival Saturday

On the festival Saturday, Wolfgang Ambros & the No 1 from the Vienna Woods, Ronan Keating, Christina Sturmer, Andy Borg and Claudia Jung, among others, made hearts beat faster with free admission.

Vienna (OTS/SPW) The first two days of the festival are already behind us and showed the many colorful facets of the Danube Island Festival. Especially on the Saturday of the festival, the 17 islands and 14 stages were explored by many families, children and seniors. In bright sunshine, everyone was able to enjoy the colorful line-up and the action-packed supporting program to the fullest.

There was also a visit to the festival grounds Mayor Dr. Michael Ludwig: “I am particularly pleased that so many Viennese, from young to old, visited the Danube Island Festival today. This makes it clear that the festival is a place of encounter – a living symbol of respectful coexistence across all generations in our city! 1,500 employees and 500 volunteers work unnoticed in the background and enable thousands of people to celebrate carefree in the open air for three days. Our special thanks go to you – that’s how social cohesion works. This is how we celebrate the largest open-air music festival in Europe in Vienna with free admission!”
During his tour of the festival grounds, Ludwig was greeted by the second President of the National Council Doris Bures accompanied. They also visited the stand of this year’s DIF charity partner together LernLEO. “The Danube Island Festival is a festival of peace, joy of life and solidarity. This is also shown by the collaboration with this year’s charity partner of the Donauinselfest: LernLEO. This project by the Samaritan Association of Vienna opens up new educational and life opportunities for all children and young people. Anyone who donates to this strengthens the right to the best education for everyone.”so Doris Bures.

Acts, acts, acts – full program!

The Viennese audience in front of the stages was diverse thanks to acts like Wolfgang Ambros & the No 1 from the Vienna Woods and Christina Sturmer, who performed a song together with Wolfgang Ambros and thus caused a special goosebumps moment. Were there too Andy Borg, Claudia Jung, Stefan Haider and Caroline Athanasiadisas well as international greats like Ronan Keating, Madsen, Twocolors und Therapy?. The festival stages also offered many talented young artists such as the RTIC winners The Most Companythe RTIC4Kids winner Stella Maria Barghouty as well as The Voice Kids Halbfinalistin Paulina Zambelli and the The Voice Kids winner Emma Space to show their exceptional musical talent and inspire the audience. The K-Pop World Festival showed how diverse and creative the K-pop scene in Austria is.

Danube Island Festival shows a colorful variety of programs
