Vienna (OTS) – The stars of folk music and hits will meet again this year at “When the Music Plays – Summer Open Air 2024” in Bad Kleinkirchheim/St. Oswald: Marco Ventre and Stefanie Hertel welcome you to the festival evening in the Nockberge on Saturday, June 15, 2024, at 8:15 p.m. live on ORF 2 and on ORF ON with stars like “Sašo Avsenik and his Oberkrainer”, Bernhard Brink, DJ Ötzi, Esteriore Brothers, Fantasy, Petra Frey, Hansi Hinterseer, Claudia Jung, Saskia Leppin, The Mayrhofner, Meissnitzer Band, Melissa Naschenweng, Nockis, Paldauer, Marc Pircher, Semino Rossi, voXXclub, Anna-Carina Woitschack, The Young Zillertaler and many more Traditional In addition to the numerous musical stars, the summer landscape in Carinthia plays a major role and is impressively staged for the show.
Marc Pircher will then use the 20th anniversary of his hit “7 Sins” at 11 p.m. as an opportunity to take a musical journey through time through seven hits – with interesting stories, lots of music and one or two surprises. In “Marc Pircher: 7 Stars. 7 songs. 7 Sins.” he meets on ORF 2 and with ORF ON colleagues to talk to them about the creation of their most famous songs. Included are Nik P., Franz Griesbacher, Norbert Rier, Stefanie Hertel, Sašo Avsenik and Francine Jordi.

Hansi Hinterseer is celebrating three anniversaries at “Musi”: 70th birthday, 50 years of victory at the Hahnenkamm and 30 years of singing career. Melissa Naschenweng will sing her new title “Legends” for the first time on TV, giving a foretaste of the new album. DJ Ötzi also has something to celebrate at “Musi”: Exactly 25 years ago he presented his mega hit “Anton aus Tirol” for the first time and will interpret it again on stage. The Young Zillertalers were on stage for the first time 30 years ago, and that is also duly celebrated at “Musi”. To mark the 20th anniversary of Marc Pircher’s big hit “7 Sins”, the singer is taking a musical journey through time through seven hits – with interesting stories, lots of music and one or two surprises. In “Marc Pircher: 7 Stars. 7 songs. 7 Sins.” On Saturday, June 15th, at 11 p.m. on ORF 2 and ORF ON, he will talk to colleagues about the creation of their most famous songs:
So Nik P. tells him why his star rose on one night at the lake. In Styria, Marc learns from Franz Griesbacher that the Paldauers had to wait a long time for their first big hit. The Sparrows from tranquil Castelrotto wanted to break up shortly before their breakthrough – singer Norbert Rier reveals this in an interview with Marc Pircher. And in the show, Stefanie Hertel still remembers very well that evening more than 30 years ago at the Grand Prix of Folk Music, which completely changed her life. Sašo Avsenik has his grandfather’s biggest hit with him, but also his current one: “Hello Little Mouse”. And Francine Jordi reveals who once lit her “fire of longing” as a singer. Of course, Marc Pircher also explains how his hit “7 Sins” came about and why he didn’t actually want to sing the song.
