Opening of the new music center in Moosbrunn

LH Mikl-Leitner: Where the music club meets is the heart of coexistence

St. Pölten (OTS/NLK) State Governor Johanna Mikl-Leitner spoke of a need to look at the positive, especially in challenging times, this Sunday at the opening of the new music center in Moosbrunn in the Bruck an der Leitha district: “We live in a wonderful country, in one of the most prosperous and richest regions “, with a very good social and health system, with the highest purchasing power and with a functioning club life that is an example of coexistence in the country.”

One can be proud of what has been achieved in the republic, the state and the communities, the state governor continued: “Moosbrunn is a model community, a lovely and livable community at the gates of the city of over a million people with a great offering for families , which is impressive and has also been certified as family-friendly.” And a very strong lifeline in this small but wonderful community is the club life with the volunteer fire department, a martial arts, sports and tennis club, the singing club and, last but not least, the music club.

For this music club, a long-cherished wish is now coming true with the new music center – in a place that is now experiencing its third spring, has previously housed volunteer work as a fire station and rescue base and has now been finely spruced up as a second home for the musicians whereby everyone helped to create this gem in a beautiful interaction between the state and the community: “Where the music club meets is the heart of coexistence,” emphasized Mikl-Leitner.

The governor then presented Peter Kreuz, the former bandmaster of the MV Moosbrunn, with the Golden Medal of Honor for services to the state of Lower Austria. She praised the Moosbrunner native as a gifted musician who set the pace for over 30 years: “But not only as a bandmaster, but also as a long-time music school director in Laxenburg and Biedermannsdorf, he inspired young people to immerse themselves in the world of music , and thus made a significant contribution to upholding traditions and customs and bringing them into the future.
