There are numerous artists and performers in the streets of Linz these days. And even a street magician makes a woman disappear during his performance in Linz’s old town. A confusion surrounding the victim and magical moments complicate the investigation for Joe (Katharina Stemberger) and Ben (Daniel Gawlowski). However, the “Soko Linz” team sees through any foul magic!

The Swiss wildlife filmmaker Jonas Penz is killed in his tent – by a tree. Lukas (Jakob Seeböck), Nina (Julia Cencig) and Kroisleitner (Ferry Öllinger) discover that someone pre-processed the tree and then felled it at the right moment. The “Soko” team takes a closer look at some forest workers, including Veith Gruber (Simon Jaritz) and Gernot Röschl (Rainer Haustein), neither of whom is particularly friendly or cooperative. Another lead leads to the married couple Tamara (Laura Hermann) and Herbert Stocker (Tim Breyvogel) and their broken relationship. Because the murder victim used exactly this for himself.
