84 Vorarlberg music acts at the start of ORF Vorarlberg’s “Sound@V” 2024

Registration high for the fifth anniversary of the big ORF Vorarlberg Music Prize

Vienna (OTS) In the past two months, 84 bands and solo acts from Vorarlberg seized the opportunity and registered for ORF Vorarlberg’s big music award “Sound@V” in the categories Pop/Rock, Open Pool, Alternative/Singer-Songwriter and Newcomer. Now it will be decided in the coming weeks who will actually be in the running for the highly coveted trophies and the prize money totaling 25,000 euros.

Exciting stages to the finale

It will be announced on May 27, 2024 who will be nominated for the award. A week later, on June 3rd, the big and exciting online voting starts on the website vorarlberg.ORF.at. Everyone is called upon to vote diligently for their favorites. The final result is made up of online voting and the expert opinion of an international jury. Part of this top-class jury includes Hannah and Laura Breitfuß from the Austrian band “Cousines like Shit” as well as FM4 presenter and journalist Riem Higazi.

At the big award show on July 5th as part of the “Poolbar Festival” in Feldkirch, it will be shown who will rock the stage and be the winner in the categories Pop/Rock, Open Pool, Alternative/Singer-Songwriter and Newcomer. Winner emerges. Awards will also be given out this evening for, among other things, audience favorite and life’s achievement.

Big stage in advance

The nominees in the four main categories will be announced before the online voting begins on the TV program “Vorarlberg today” (7 p.m., ORF 2 V), on ORF Radio Vorarlberg in the programs “Sound-Check” (Tuesday at 9 p.m.) and “ “Im Ländle groovts” (Wednesday at 9 p.m.), presented online at vorarlberg.ORF.at and in ORF Vorarlberg’s social media on Facebook (ORF Vorarlberg) and Instagram (orfvorarlberg).
