As part of the “Day of the Federal Police”, 83 police officers, including 37 women, were retired on September 5, 2025 at the Friedensburg in Stadtschlininging and have since ensured additional security in Burgenland. “Today is a special day for you, for the Burgenland State Police Directorate and the security in our country. I currently see three large subject areas for the police: cybercrime and extremism as well as the fight against towing, which is particularly affected by Burgenland. I am convinced that they will master their tasks well.”

In addition to 16 federal awards, 16 state awards and eight fire brigade medals for well-deserved employees of the Burgenland State Police Directorate were also presented.
