Maternity and entrepreneurship grow increasingly. More and more women recognize the advantages that it brings to be their own boss. For many mothers, independence opens up an opportunity to make their lives self -determined – and to support their family in a way that cannot afford classic working models. According to the current Godaddy Global Entrepreneurship Survey 2025 More than every second small entrepreneur at the same time mother. Independence as a key to more self -determination than a parent
The step into self -employment is a well -considered decision for many mothers because it affects the whole family structure. Leading your own company often means investing significantly more time in work, at the same time it allows a high level of flexibility in the time division. This combination can be the decisive factor for committed mothers. While many women have to accept financial losses through the birth of a child, independence offers an alternative: it creates new perspectives on financial stability. 46 % of the entrepreneurs surveyed from the roof are the main earners in their households – A clear sign that entrepreneurship contributes to economic independence and can secure families. For many women, motherhood is a central drive to take the step into self -employment.
Digital competence as a competitive advantage for mothers
Behind each company run by a mother is a woman who not only manages everyday life with children, but at the same time leads a growing business in digital change. Technologies play a key role – especially artificial intelligence (AI). Mothers cannot be deterred by technological developments, they use them confidently: 71 % the interviewed entrepreneur with children feel not only safe in dealing with AI tools, but over half (54 %) Use AI technologies within your company.
In addition to use itself, concrete added value also plays a major role: AI saves time – and that means for many mothers: more freedom. On average, they gain a full eight hours a week due to the targeted use of AI tools. This is an entire working day that either flows into business or with the family in valuable time.
Between family management and business strategy
Mothers see the future with optimism: Many mothers not only appreciate AI as an efficiency booster, but as a real competitive advantage. 77 % believe that in the coming year, AI will help them to remain competitive to larger companies – and are therefore even above the average of all entrepreneurs surveyed: inside (72 %). This future confidence shows that mothers think entrepreneurially, ambitious and are ready to actively develop their business.
Between daycare organization, business strategy and technology use, these founders demonstrate that modern entrepreneurship requires adaptability, willingness to learn and digital vertical. They not only combine work and family organizationally, but also strategically – and thus write their very own definition of success.
