The selected February 17th symbolizes the day on which the annual quota of four days a month ends, which corresponds to the “prescribed” childcare period for separated fathers.
The aim of the VKZE day is to make this unjust situation visible to fathers and children. The association “Wir Fathers” therefore calls for a fairer distribution of parental responsibility and at least 10 days of childcare per month.
