31. Viennese refugee ball – a festival in the sign of a human being

On April 5, 2025, the Vienna town hall again turns into a ballroom for a connecting festival of cultures: The integration house again invites you to send a sign of humanity and solidarity together with a lavish festival. For over three decades, the Viennese refugee ball has been inspiring around 3,000 festivals annually with a diverse program. Ball organizer Nikolaus Heinelt is particularly proud of the upcoming refugee ball: “The ball is not only a place of encounter and celebration, but also a strong symbol of cohesion and commitment. In this sense, the Willi Resetarits Award for the second time is awarded to an outstanding social commitment.” In addition to musical enjoyment, guests also expect a culinary world tour and a raffle at exciting prices. Music – The connecting language of cultures

Visitors can expect an unforgettable ball night with a versatile music program on two live stages: from Gypsy Swing, to Balkan rhythms to pop rock and Congolese rumba. Are there The Gewürztraminerthe Transsilvanian Gypsy band Nada and the 9-member band Buying as well as the father-son duo Otto Lechner and Sir Bennent. It can be danced all night in front of the stages, because the line-up is completed by Mehdi Chamma, Pavel Shalman & Boki Radenkovic and JazzMed. In the open-air disco in the Arkadenhof, DJs like the Hamburg Djane Miss Leema and Pezofox provide pulsating beats. A special highlight of the evening is the appearance of the first Willi Resetarits award winner, Vusa Mhkaya, followed by the ceremonial awarding of the prize for 2025.

Association Project Integration House

The integration house is a recognized competence center for the inclusion and integration of refugee people, migrants, children and adolescents. Safety seekers can find accommodation as well as support, education and advice. People with an increased need for care, such as traumatized, single parents, physically and mentally ill and unaccompanied minor refugees are particularly taken into account. The integration house helps you find future prospects and is a practical example of refugee protection, multilingualism, diversity and equality of opportunities. Together with volunteers, 170 employees show how the admission, integration and support of rats and protection seekers works in the best possible way.
