3 years of war. Sea of lights for the children in Ukraine
Vienna (OTS) –

The war of attack on Ukraine marks the third time. 12.7 million people are still dependent on humanitarian aid – more than a third of the population. Over 3.2 million children are affected by the war alone throughout Ukraine. With a sea of lights on Stephenplatz, Caritas, together with the Ukrainian community, would like to remind thousands of candles of the devastating situation of children in the war and at the same time set a sign of hope. The symbolic lighting of the candles is connected to the urgent appeal: the help must continue.

Thanks to donations from Austria, Caritas has achieved a total of more than 4 million people with the help – with care, with hygiene articles and food, with accommodations, medication and toys. This help warms, she fed up and gives children a roof over their heads. Caritas calls for as many people as possible show their solidarity with children in the war so that their fate is not forgotten.
