What once started as a weird idea in a laundromat on Brussels Platz in Cologne has long since developed into one of the most formative comedy formats on German television. With its unmistakable mix of stand -up and the public proximity, Nightwash became a fixed institution – and a springboard for numerous comedystars. Many of the best -known faces of the scene had their first appearances in front of the camera and live audience.
The anniversary edition is a thank you for 25 years of comedy. The film was shot in the atmospheric Cologne dance fountain and with a line-up that celebrates the success story of Nightwash: well-known companions, current stars and fresh talents share the stage, tell personal anecdotes and bring the audience to laugh with brand new gags. The show is moderated by comedy shooting star Tony Bauer.
Live on stage include Özcan Cosar, Bastian Bielendorfer, Markus Krebs, Mirja Boes, Atze Schröder, Mr. Schröder, Nico Stank, Abdelkarim, Mirja Regensburg and many others.
