Vienna (OTS) The “Star Night on Lake Wörthersee” is celebrating its 25th anniversary:

Back then, stars like Udo Jürgens, Zucchero, Eros Ramazotti, Gloria Gaynor, Paul Young, Chris de Burgh, Johnny Logan, Helene Fischer and many more were on stage. The star line-up at this year’s “Starnacht am Wörthersee” on Saturday, July 13, 2024, at 8:15 p.m. on ORF 2 and on ORF On is once again setting a new milestone in the success story of TV music production: Among them are Christina Sturmer, Melissa Naschenweng, Ben Zucker, Thorsteinn Einarsson, Die Seer, Marianne Rosenberg, Semino Rossi, Michelle, Chris Steger, Christin Stark, DJ Ötzi and Nikotin as well as the “Starnacht” debutants Bülent Ceylan and Folkshilfe. With a lot of humor and charm, Barbara Schöneberger and Hans Sigl will once again lead through the glamorous music night on Lake Wörthersee. New to the anniversary show is the “Sigl on the go” section, in which the presenter discovers interesting things about Lake Wörthersee, a new, larger stage and exclusive insights behind the scenes at “Starnacht Backstage” live on ORF ON. The “Starnacht am Wörthersee” will also be broadcast as a Eurovision show by MDR, HR, NDR and SWR.

We from ORF Carinthia provide background reports on the live broadcast, interviews with the organizers, artists, service information and much more. Radio Kärnten also broadcasts the dress rehearsal live, among other things, and gets the audience in the mood for the big TV show the day before. I wish the visitors unforgettable hours in the sunny bay on Lake Wörthersee.”

Martin Gastinger, ORF head of entertainment: “The ambience in the East Bay and the broad musical spectrum with many stars and newcomers, with big hits and new things are part of the long-standing success and give the ‘Starnacht am Wörthersee’ the perfect mix of beautiful images, great Atmosphere and great mood. Last but not least, all of this has made this format a successful Eurovision event since last year. Thanks to all co-partners and the local partners as well as the moderation duo Barbara Schöneberger and Hans Sigl, who make this possible together with us. I congratulate ‘Starnacht’ on its 25th anniversary and wish the creators and the audience many more successful years with sensational shows to sing and dance along to.”

ip-media owner Martin Ramusch: “When I look at a few numbers, I am infinitely proud and grateful of what the ‘Starnacht’ format, which I was able to develop together with Gerhard Draxler, has achieved in 25 years: 330,000 Visitors experienced the ‘Star Nights’ live in the arenas in Pörtschach and Klagenfurt, 43 million were there in front of the TV sets and around 1,100 journalists from home and abroad have been accredited for the ‘Star Night on Lake Wörthersee’ since the beginning. At this point I would like to thank the ORF and our partners and sponsors who have been with us for many years.”

The beautiful images that go out all over the world and the associated added value are very important for Carinthia. I’ll be there again this year and although I’m not a mountain farmer, I’m really looking forward to Melissa Naschenweng.”
