Vienna (OTS) – In order to create space for articulated buses of the Wiener Linien and to enable passengers to get on and off comfortably, two stop areas on the 71A on Simmeringer Hauptstrasse will be extended in the direction of Schwechat: those at the stations “Leberweg” and “Zentralfriedhof 4. Tor” (near Miltnerweg ). The City of Vienna – Road Administration and Road Construction will begin work on Tuesday, July 23, 2024.
Traffic measures
During construction, the “Leberweg” stop will be closed and bicycle traffic will be redirected along the sidewalk, which will become a combined pedestrian and bicycle path for the duration of construction.
There will be no restrictions on traffic in the Miltnerweg area.
