Vienna (OTS) A festival moves the masses: More than 2.5 million visitors on the Danube Island – millions in front of the ORF screens. A total of 1.606 million (widest circle of viewers) saw the comprehensive coverage of the Danube Island Festival 2024 via ORF III, which is 21 percent of the domestic TV population aged 12 and over.

Wolfgang Ambros’ appearance on Saturday, June 22nd leads the ORF III live broadcast rankings with a reach of up to 178,000 or an average of 137,000 with a seven percent market share. Christina Sturm live (also on June 22nd) with an average reach of 109,000 and Andreas Vitásek with 100,000 on June 23rd also exceeded the 100,000 mark.

“It is a particular pleasure for me that we were host broadcasters of the Danube Island Festival again this year and were able to make the diverse program of four open-air stages accessible to a large TV audience. “My heartfelt thanks go to our partners from the City of Vienna, the organizers of the Donauinselfest, the ORF radios Ö3, FM4, Radio Wien and Radio Niederösterreich, as well as the great ORF III team,” said ORF III managing director Peter Schöber.
